Seth Godin is blogging about a new digital divide, one that has nothing to do with whether or not you have a computer, but how you use technology. When I look around me, I’m starting to see that gap, between people who use their computer to e-mail, and people who live the technology, use it as a tool and a context, discover and experiment, and form digital social networks. For the former the Internet is an ocean full of fish, for the later the Internet is a mega-mall full of fishing rods.
I think a new divide has opened up, one that is based far more on choice than on circumstance.
